AIRSOFT GEARBOX and GEARBOX HOUSING FUNCTION
The gearbox housing of electric airsoft guns is the part of the gun, which includes the cylinder, cylinder head, piston, piston head, spring, spring guide, and gears. The gearbox housing is the main component of airsoft guns. A durable well-designed gb housing is essential to building a durable gun. With low-quality or factory gearbox housings, it may happen that the housing breaks from the high energy within a short time after a stronger spring is inserted.
Gearbox material
In most cases, gearbox housings are made of two types of materials.
In the case of factory weapons, the so-called spiater (aluminum-zinc alloy) material is typical, but reinforced and durable ones can also be purchased from these. The other is CNC aluminum , they are much more durable and can handle even M150 springs without any problems.
